This service offers a blended form of contemporary as well as traditional
styles utilizing a variety of instrumentation. Musical leadership is
provided by cantors.
Due to a construction project at McDowell Forest Preserve, the site at which we usually enjoy “Worship in the Woods” is closed for part of the summer. Our alternate site for the summer of 2008 will be in our own backyard! Backyard Worship will be held in our own Outdoor Chapel located in the northwest corner of our property. This is a special time of worship, casual in nature and surrounded by God's outdoor creations!
The service begins at 7:30 a.m. each Sunday, starting on June 8th this year and continuing through August 24. There are limited bench seats available, Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and join us often! (Note: In case of rain, “Backyard” worship will be cancelled.)
Sunday Morning at 9:00 a.m. -
Our 9:00 services is blended in flavor with primary instrumentation
being organ, piano, and a variety of instrumentalists. Our service is led by our Adult "Chancel Choir", our high school choir, "Kairos", and our children's choir, "Celebrate".
Our 10:30 service is more contemporary in flavor, but blended
in our hymn selections. The instrumentation is piano, flute, guitar,
bass and percussion with some organ. Our service is led by "Soul Assembly" an ensemble who is made up of musicians and
singers.
Holy Communion is celebrated at all four services on a weekly basis.
Nursery care is provided for children 3 years old and younger during all regular worship services.
Faith Development opportunities are held concurrently with Sunday morning worship services and throughout the week.
